The Scottish Ladies Golfing Association has nominated Louise Kenney(Pitreavie) to play in the Ladies' English Open at Chart Hills, Kent from July 8 to 10.

A final round of one-over-par 73 in the NCAA Division 1 Women's Central Regional championship over The Rawls course at Lubbock, Texas on Saturday just failed to earn Louise Kenneyfrom Dunfermline a place in the NCAA championships at Sunriver, Oregon later this month.
Invited to compete as an individual because her university, Iowa State, did not qualify as a team, Louise had rounds of 77, 75 and 73 for a joint 13th place with a total of 225.

US COLLEGE GOLF

Scottish Internationalist Louise Kenney from Dunfermline notched the third-best 54-hole in Iowa State conference championship history, tying for 12th with a 230 at the Big 12 Championship at Austin, Texas on Sunday.
Kenney, who was named to the All Big-12 First Team on Friday, opened with back-to-back 70s before finishing with a 76 for the best Big 12 finish of her career. She tied for 14th at last year's conference championship in Columbia, Mo., and qualified as an individual for the NCAA Central Regional Championship.

FIFE COUNTY LADIES GOLF ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP - Elie

 

Fiona Lockhart won the Fife women's county golf championship for the first-time by beating fellow-St Regulus Golf Club member Elaine Moffat by 3 and 2 in the final.
The pair had met in the 1996 final when Elaine won by one hole and Miss Moffat, a former Scottish women's champion, had also won the Fife title in 2000.
Miss Moffat survived an epic morning semi-final, beating Lorna Bennett (Ladybank), winner of the title in the 1980s, 90s and again in 2003, at the 23rd.

The overall handicap prize went to Patricia Watt (Lundin Ladies, 33) who had a net 64.

Camilla Tait (St Regulus, 20) won the Under 14 handicap prize with a net 73. The CSS went down one to 72.

Scottish Ladies Golfing Association chairman Emma Wilson, playing over her home course, pipped former Scottish women's champion Elaine Moffat (St Regulus) for the No 1 seed honour in the Fife women's county golf championship at Elie today (Sunday).
Emma and Elaine both returned 75s - matching the CSS - and Mrs Wilson took the top scratch prize with the better inward half.

Louise Kenney (Pitreavie) a final year student at Iowa State University, finished on two under par 214 to tie for sixth place in the Mountain View Collegiate at Tuscon Arizona yesterday. She led the Iowa State team to fifth place in the tournament. Her final round of 70 along with back to back par rounds of 72 gave her the the lowest 54 hole total in Iowa State school history.

Louise Kenneyfrom Pitreavie finished in fifth position in a field of 100 in the University of Nevada Las Vegas Spring Invitational women's college golf tournament.
Miss Kenney started the tournament badly with a nine-over-par 81 over the 6,009yd par-72 Black Mountain Golf & Country Club Course near Las Vegas. But she steadied up considerably on the second day with a par-matching 72.

Louise Kenney had a slightly disappointing start to the second half of the American women?s college season when she finished tied for 17th place in a field of 98 for the Miccosukee Championship at Miccosukee Country Club, Miami in Florida. Louise, a student at Iowa State University, had rounds of 80, 74 and 78 for a 13-over-par total of 232 over a 5,919yd course with a par of 73. The Fifer finished 10 shots behind the tournament winner, Hannah Hoch (Colorado) who had scores of 74, 73 and 75 for three-over 222 to win by a couple of shots from Anastasia Kostina (Washington State) (77-74-73).
