BRITISH LADIES AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP - Alwoodley Golf Club, Leeds

Louise Kenney was the leading Scot for the match play stages of the Championship. Louise followed an excellent first round of 72 with a 77.

Krystle Caithness qualified after an eleven man play-off for 3 places!

The Championship was played in attrocious conditions with many rain delays.

RESULTS - MATCHPLAY

Louise won her first round macth against T Hoffmeister (Ger) 5 and 4 but lost in the second round by 4 and 2 to Rachel Bell (Ganton).

Krystle progressed to the quarter finals before losing 3 and 2 to Anna Nordqvist of Sweden.

The Championship was eventually won by Carlota Ciganda of Spain.
