FCLGA Championship 2006
The FCLGA Championship was played over Scotscraig Golf Club on 15th and 30th April 2006.
The standard of golf over the two days was excellent in dry and tricky conditions. All matches were played in great spirit and a good reflection of the strength and depth we are lucky to have within the County at the moment.
It should be noted that Krystle Caithness, was unable to play due to other commitments - Krystle was playing tremendous golf in Paris at the time of the first two rounds.
In the first semi-final, Elaine Moffat (St. Regulus) beat Lorna Bennett (Ladybank) by 4 and 2. |

In the second semi-final, Louise Kenney (Pitreavie) beat the defending Champion Fiona Lockhart (St. Regulus) by 3 and 2. |
In the Final, Louise got off to a flying start with birdies at the 3rd and 4th and was 4 up after the first four holes. However, Elaine fought back twith birdies at the 5th and 9th to bring the match back to all square at the turn.
Louise won the 10th but Elaine won the 11th with another birdie. Louise was then very unfortunate to get stuck behind trees at the 12th and 14th allowing Elaine to go two ahead with four to play.
The 15th was halved in par 3's. The match finished on the 16th with a birdie from Elaine to win by 3 and 2.
