FCLGA CENTENARY

Fife County Ladies Golf Association will be celebrating it's centenary in 2009.

A committee has now been set up to organise events to mark this occasion.  If anyone has any suggestions/fund raising ideas etc., please feel free to contact any committee member.

Centenary Committee

Margaret Steele, Lorna Bennett, Emma Wilson, Alma Robertson and Dorothy Ford.

Proposed Events include:

1.   Centenary Lunch - Sun 1st February 2009 at Dean Park Hotel, Kirkcaldy.

2.   9 hole Hickory Challenge in period dress - Lundin Ladies G.C.

3.   Centenary Tri-Am - teams to consist of junior, mid and older members!

4.   Putting Challenge - Himalayas , St. Andrews.

Fund Raising

To successfully carry out the above events it is vital that we raise some funds.

1.    Centenary Sweep - held at each FCLGA meeting.

        £1 entry - choose a number between 1 and 100.

Lucky number wins half the takings, other half goes to Centenary fund.

2.    Quizzes - on sale from Committee members.

For answers to the first quiz, 'Cryptic Golfers' - please click here.

3.    Tee-times - each club has been asked to donate one tee-time.

These will be raffled/auctioned throughout 2007/2008.

A Round for 4 players at Fairmont St. Andrews - Torrance Course was auctioned at the FCLGA Dinner and Prize-giving at Ladybank Golf Club on Fri 26th October 2007

A staggering sum of £280 was raised. Many thanks to Joy Robertson for her generous bid.
